Dena Porto, Ed.S.

Mrs. Porto is a certified, licensed school psychologist who specializes in psychological, pyschoeducational, developmental, behavioral, and gifted evaluations for children and adolescents.

Mrs. Porto was born and raised in Michigan, relocating to Florida to establish her career. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Lake Superior State University, and a master’s degree and education specialist degree in school psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She resides in the area with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys family road trips, crafting and upcycling, the beach and spending time with her family. Her family is first priority, which helps her when working closely with clients and their families. Thank you for taking the time to get to know Mrs. Porto. Mrs. Porto has been employed by the Hillsborough County Public School System for 20-years. While many professionals offer testing, her School Psychology background gives her an advantage in understanding the school system including special education law, IEP’s 504 plans, educational intervention guidelines and service options.

She collaborates well with parents, guardians, and/or caregivers and educational professionals, advocating for appropriate treatment and services within the school setting.
